NOTHING IS TOO HIGH TO REACH

"Tiara Sheva really obsesses to study abroad, go traveling abroad, and marry American / European guy. *study harder, work harder, and find a lot of experiences are MUST* "
That's my latest status on facebook account last night. Those are my great dreams and ambitions in my life that I want to realize. Actually those three dreams are related each other. I'll tell you about them one by one.

First, I want to study abroad. As you know, I'm in English Education Study Program and I'll study English in Sanata Dharma for about 3 more years ahead. I'm sure I'll get many progress in my English skills such as writing, reading, speaking while I'm studying here. However English is not mother tongue in Indonesia. Most people mostly speak Indonesian, so I seldom speak English in daily life. I think my English speaking skill will be in excellent progress if I live in country where English become its mother tongue. Well, based on the case in my opinion America and England are best for education and improving English speaking skill. Hopefully I could be a lecturer first and then get my mastery abroad. ^^

Second, I really want to go traveling some day. I want to go around the world, especially Europe and America. MILAN is my dream land. I wish I could be there one day and watch Derby Della Madonnina between my favorite football club AC Milan and the club I hate Inter Milan directly. It must be pretty amazing to see my favorite club contends directly. ^^ Related to my first dream, I consider that if I could study abroad it means that I could traveling too.

Then my third dream is getting married to American or European guy. I actually have dreamed it for a long time since I was in senior high school. I don't know exactly the reason why I really want to marry foreigner. One thing I feel when I meet tourists, especially from America or European is amazed. I'm always amazed with them. In addition, when I see Indonesian woman who's married to foreigner on street or on TV, I always imagine and ask myself if I could like her one day. I also think that if I could marry foreigner, my son or daughter must be beautiful or handsome. ^^

Well the point of my dreams is if my dream about studying abroad could be realized later, I think my second and third dream will come true soon after that too. Perhaps they sound too high to reach, but I'm sure that nothing is too high to reach as long as what I do in my  effort to reach them is in God way and like His want.

In order to realize my great dreams I've had some plans to do. First, I'm going to study harder and keep my GPA high so that I can get scholarship. Second, I'm going to work before graduating. It's because I want to ease my parents' burden and get some experiences too. Moreover I'm going to try to make friends with foreigner as many as possible.

Well friends, that's about my great dreams which needed great effort too in order to realize them. For you who have great dreams, you must believe in yourself that you can realize them. You must also have one or more people who inspire your life so that you can always do more and more or at least do like they have done to be successful in their life. If you want to get much more than your right, you must also do much more than obligation.  Last, don't forget to keep praying to God, okay? :) Never give up!

MY UNFORGETTABLE FIRST NEW YEAR EVE IN JOGJA

December 31, 2009 was the unforgettable moment for me. It was my first new year eve in Jogja. It was unusual new year eve because there was a story hidden behind it. I’ll begin to tell you about it.

Some weeks before new year eve my friends and I had planned that we would celebrate new year eve together. I felt very happy because I wouldn’t be alone and do nothing at new year eve. Unfortunately when the day came, one by one of my friends told me that they couldn’t come because of some reasons. It made me disappointed and I felt that my first new year eve in Jogja would elapse without sense.

Apparently it was not only me who would celebrate new year eve by doing nothing but also two of my friends who live in my boarding house. They are mbak Senja and mbak Las. By the time we talked each other, mbak Las said that she really wanted to visit Malioboro because she had never been there. Aha! I thought it was a good idea if we celebrated the new year eve at Malioboro! Luckily mbak Senja also agreed about it and we began our destination to Malioboro! ^^

Because of the cost of getting on taxi is really expensive if we started from Gejayan to Malioboro, we decided to go there by getting on trans Jogja. We had to go to UNY first to reach the shelter. Then we three walked there from our boarding house. Unfortunately the shelter has just closed by the time we arrived. The woman who works there said that there would be no one trans Jogja which operated anymore because all ways to Malioboro had been closed. The time showed 8 p.m. at that time. Oh My God! Should we went back to our boarding house and canceled our plan? The answer was no. We decided to look for taxi around UNY. Minute after minute we waited, there’s still no one taxi passed. Then we walked step by step while looking for the taxi. We went and went on, and we’ve just realized that we’ve walked so far on foot. Do you know where have we been at that time when we walked on foot? We’ve been in front of Novotel near Galery Mall! Can you imagine that? We walked from Gejayan (Gg.Bromo) to Novotel on foot! It must have been crazy at that time, guys!

Fortunately in front of Novotel we found a taxi. After a quite long negotiation, the driver finally took us to Jl.Mangkubumi. We stopped near NOKIA care there because taxi hasn’t been able to Malioboro. For your information we just paid ten thousand rupiahs for taxi driver! :D

After that we began to walk again to Malioboro. Arriving at Malioboro, we felt so excited thought we’re tired. There were so many people there that would also spend the new year eve. I loved the situation at that time. Malioboro at night is so beautiful. We stopped to take a rest for a while. Some minutes later we went on walking to SO Satu Maret park where the show would be held.

We saw some traditional dances from some provinces, we listened to song entitled “Yogyakarta”, and we also prayed together for Alm.Gus Dur who just passed away at that day. The climax of that show is fireworks at 00.00 a.m. We really enjoyed it. At about 1.00 a.m. the event lasted.  However we couldn’t go back to boarding house because there wasn’t public transportation anymore. At last we spent some hours on our first day in 2010 at SO 1 Maret park. I thought that we have been like people who didn’t have house at that time. We used newspaper as a base for sitting on and even there were also some people who brought plaited for sleeping there. Finally at 05.30 a.m. we went back to boarding house by bus.

Oh…It’s really an unforgettable moment for me. It’s nice, ridiculous, and also tiring to spend new year eve like that. However my first new year eve in Jogja was really impressive! I LOVE JOGJA VERY MUCH! ^^
